Squash Tournament -- Order of Play Wednesday

Hi Folks

Well the tournament is really hotting up with some great matches in the various semis.

Tonight Paul Wainwright the No.1 seed in the Vets had a really close call against the Portly Pict with a 15 -13 victory in the fifth. To think an old age pensioner with two gammy knees gave him such a run for his money, does not bode well for his final against a resurgent Springbok, (although he does not look that springy to me), who beat the Wild Swing in four.

In the Handicap, Hamish (or Hampshire to his mates) was too strong for Duncan, and now faces Paul in the final. To close to call I would think.

Meanwhile tomorrow the matches are as follows;-

Court 1

Doubles Semis

19.00 Rob & Eric Stevenson v Paul Wainwright & Nick Raeburn-Ward

20.15 Paul Masters & Bradley Wilson v Stuart Kemp & John Smith

Court 2

Alternative semis

18.15 James Wicks v Richard Ellis

19.15 Nick Higgs v George Antino

The Open Singles Semis will be on Thursday with Rob Stevenson v Paul Wainwright and Bradley Wilson v John Smith, along with the Vintage semis.

Running order to follow.............

Regards

Eric
