Last day for tournament entry

Hi everyone,

Entry for the annual club tournament closes at the end to today.

If you’ve been thinking about entering but haven’t quite got round to it yet, this is your nudge!

The tournament is genuinely one of the most enjoyable things we run all year. It’s competitive if you want it to be, but at its heart it’s about good games, meeting other members, and having a laugh along the way. Plenty of people enter for the first time every year and are always glad they did.

There’s something for everyone:

Open Competition and Women’s Competition – our main event to crown the Club Champion. And remember, if you lose your first match, you’ll automatically go into the *Plate*, so you’re guaranteed more than one match.

Handicap Competition – probably the most fun of all. The scoring evens things out so you can have a great match against anyone, regardless of level.

Alternative Competition – ideal if you’re newer to the game or still building confidence. This event excludes our top players, giving everyone a really good chance of competitive matches and a genuine shot at winning something.

Age Group Events – competitive, social, and a great way to meet more players across the club.

Even if you feel you’re “not quite good enough” or haven’t played competitively before, that really doesn’t matter. There’s a place for you, and those who do get involved always enjoy it!
