Temperature on court

Hi

Those of you who have played in the past week will have noticed the courts are cold. We apologise for this.

With the gas supply off, and therefore the radiators off, the temperature inside has obviously dropped and the court heaters appear not to be effective at heating the courts with no other heat in the building.

We are getting an electrician out to review how the court heaters are working, but certainly the wider insulation problems in the building are not helping, in particular the fact the fans are always open and letting outside air in constantly is making the courts difficult to heat.

We are exploring how to improve the insulation of the building, while getting the air flow right which is essential for squash courts. If anyone has expertise in this area, please get in touch with Sean Doyle on 07984 918 056.

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us in the meantime and help raise the temperature on court.
We will keep you informed of progress.
